It’s here! This new EP consists of four songs recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in 2025.
In 2024, Womansong held its first Songwriting Contest. The winning song, “Eve,” written by Andrea Rosal and arranged for the choir by Lytingale, is inspired by a friend’s journey, and tells the heart-warming story of a transgender child and their family’s love.
“Lead with Love,” by Melanie DeMore, is a rallying song for positive action in troubling times.
“The Thread,” by Sue Ford, describes the invisible connection between people and all the living things of the earth. It is based on a quote from William Stratford, “There’s a thread you follow. It goes among things that change, but it doesn’t change.”
One of John McCutcheon’s most beloved songs, “Y’All Means All,” was arranged for our choir by Lytingale. It emphasizes the importance of inclusivity within the spirit of southern hospitality.

In spring 2020, Womansong had planned a concert entitled “Ain’t I A Woman? – Celebrating Women’s Lives and the Right to Vote!” The concert theme highlighted the facets of a woman’s life, including advocating for equal rights in the workplace and in the voting booth. A pandemic may have prevented the performance but it cannot stop our choir from sharing this important message. So to our fans and our village around the country we offer two new recordings: “59 Cents” and “My Vote, My Voice, My Right.” You can watch them both below!
