Fall 2024 Concert Dates – POSTPONED
To our dear friends;
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the Womansong Fall Concert series scheduled for November 15 & 16 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Asheville is being POSTPONED to the Spring. The devastation from Hurricane Helene impacted many of our chorus members and their families, as well as volunteers and fans across the region. As folks continue to recover from the storm, their time and energy is now focused long-term on rebuilding their lives and homes, and short-term on the daily chores of finding clean water, food and supplies for themselves and their families.
Especially at this time, Womansong recognizes the importance of taking care of ourselves and each other during these critical healing months. Opportunities to truly relax and be at peace will be a challenge until we’re able to achieve some sense of normalcy. However, until that time comes, we are all finding new ways of feeling and expressing joy, kindness, friendship and caring in order to stay strong and mentally healthy. To that end, Womansong is brainstorming ideas to bring our music directly to those in need, and also to friends and to helpers who are working tirelessly to clean up and rebuild our beautiful mountain communities.
As you may imagine, like so many others, we continue to have ongoing expenses (including the loss of revenue from our concerts) and as always, are truly grateful for any tax-deductible donation you would like to make to our organization. The link is provided for ease: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=WZAX7MRRMLWQ6
Stay tuned for announcements of smaller pop-up concerts that will take place in the next few months throughout the area. We look forward to singing for you again
